● 1790: Naturalization Law
o Explicitly racial criteria limit naturalized citizenship to “free, white persons of good moral character”
o Law passed to prevent American Indians, slaves, and free blacks from becoming citizens
o “Free, white persons” provision not repeated until 1952 (McCarran-Walter Act)

Immigation 101-Post 1

It is brain dump time! In February I spent a week at the “wall” learning about border issues. Not sure what to do with all this info in my head-so I have decided to share with YOU for 62 days. Just the facts about our immigration history- most of which we did not learn in school. 
(And art that goes with it.)
